Eyes sore, heart heavy,
I wake momentarily in panic,
The journey stills,
And I go back to sleep.

I find myself
Floating amidst the stars,
Miles away from the rest,
The beauty of formidable space.

Planets whisper,
Stars speculate,
Comets call,
And they give up.

They shine and spin,
Rotate and revolve,
Pulling each other close,
Sustaining balance.

And I slowly drift orbit-less,
Clinging barely to the fabric of reality,
Motionless in my solitary slumber,
Slowly detaching as each thread pulls,
And gives way.

In the distance,
A collision,
A meteor approaches
Set on destruction.

The taste of iron,
And here I was,
With a phobia of space,
Seeking for it.

The emptiness stills,
The solitude hysteric,
The darkness comforting me
With a warm caress.

Is this my new home,
Or a temporary detour?
I shall wander eternally,
Searching for my orbit.

And potentially,
In this abysmal vacuum,
Realise my freedom,
To evade,
Before the meteor hits.
